Hi all,
got a few questions about the 1uz.
Firstly, is the VVTI motor much harder to wire up?

2: i'm sure i read somewhere the vvti's are coil-on-plug ignition? is this the case? as was originally going to run an older 1uz with MS untill i heard the later ones were COP which should be sufficiently waterproof for what i want if thats the case?

3:is the oil filter housing different between soarer and LS400 motors? if so has anyone got a pic of a soarer housing?

4: are the sump and filter housings interchangable between vvti and non vvti?
i.e can i buy a complete vvti ls400 and a sump from an older soarer and combine them?

5. i've hear the bottom end of the vvti is not as strong, will the crank, rod and pistons from an older motor go into a vvti? (i've already got a non vvti motor so can build a 'best of both worlds' motor if so.

6. are the ancillaries (power steering pump and alternator interchangable between vvti and non?

7. is the cambelt on the vvti better sealed from the elements than on the non? seen a couple pics that look like the cam covers are metal rather than plastic
