I like that scoop! If I was looking to get one of those in the US what year car would I look for?

That looks nice! I have not had any luck finding a hood cutting like that here in the US. I really think that is a good looking scoop. Nicely done.

Is that scoop aluminum or steel? Everything I find is aluminum. How would you weld it to the stock hood if its aluminum?

I just had a chat to the boys at the yard, they say there is 2 types of bonnets that came out in the RX7. they tell me the series5 bonnet is mild steel, while the series 7 bonnet is made of alloy?
The alloy bonnets go for about $450 AU, i am getting this info doubled checked for you now and will know in the next hr.

I see, All I have found are alloy, I will need steel.

Nice work!
Are those extra injectors for Meth/water?
What are the 1mz coil on plugs? Are they direct fit?
Just modified my water kneck too, I will try to get a pic up in my thread.

Wicked build mate! **** that thing is gonna haul. Watch that torsen diff though. They can be kinda unpredictable (esp if they're tightened up). They definitely dont behave like a clutch type LSD.

The 1mz coil-on-plug setup is definitely much tidier than LS1 coils would've been. You could've possibly used vvti 1uz or 3uz coils too? not sure if the would've fitted as well or not?

Keep the updates coming, cant wait to see the final result :)

How do you tighten a torsen? there is no preload on the torque sensing worm gears, they sense torque or they don't.

They don't behave like a clutch plate LSD as both wheels need traction to operate....as soon as one wheel 'unloads' then you no longer have a LSD

Wish i could answer that for ya, but It was a friend of mine that did it when he re-bearing'ed. It wasn't an adjustment, for memory he machined something up, some kind of shim.

It made it behave like a locker in many situations, ie. slight throttle around a tight corner, step off the gas and it would open up free again.

...it skidded pretty hard anyway :)
