I finally got my gearbox!!!

ok for those who dont know, im putting a 1uz into my auto mk4 supra (later to be twin turbo)... ive been looking for a manual box to mate it to for awhile now but ive finally found it!!! it's a supra turbo r154

local price = $2000
i bought it from the states for $160, inland trucking costs $90, shipping costs to sydney $155.... grand total $405 USD (under $600 AUD)... and this is from a reputable business...

i saved nearly $1400... SWEET!!!

I'll let you guys know if this guy has anymore trannys around...

Very nice, does a R154 really cost that much where you are? I can get the TT 6 speed transmission for $1500 USD here

yeah here r154 is around $2000 AUD
v160/161 go for at least $3500

working it out, 1 AUD = approx 72 US cents

Miles, well, everywhere i went to find the R154 locally had them sold out as soon as they came into the warehouses...

Rotary guys want them, v8 guys want them, pretty much everyone who wants a strong box wants them....its a favourite for engine conversions. I was actually thinking about getting a whole bunch of them and ship in one go.... possible to make abit of money... but then again, i just dont have the capital to do that...
