Selling off my manual conversion kit as i'm going from the W58 box to the R154. Details in the classifieds.
In the W series boxes it's the layshaft front bearing that's the weak link...easy fix with a needle roller bearing from a BMW box. As i'm looking at over 350rwkw though the gearset in the W58 starts looking a bit fragile.
The thrust washer in the R154 should be an easy fix as well? The gearset is certainly beefy enough to take the kw's i'm looking at.
That said any box will break with enough abuse.
