I wouldn't be using a gasket, o'rings are much safer at high pressure.

I don't spend much time there, I am used to seeing the oil filter adapter on there, and mine isn't so nice looking!

I am looking at putting a bypass oil filter on and just exploring best ways to do it.
Where did you get the adapter to the oil lines? Make it yourself or is there one available from someone? Pontiac V8's can use something remotely similar.
