Quaife IS torsen not clutch pack. And this torsen locker will not get destroyed, a G-family torsen locker is very very weak correct.
 
When you say locker? you mean like a tru-track? they do have a good rep i'll admit.

What i don't like about torsens for a performance car is their torque 'sensing' nature. As soon as one rear wheel 'unloads' you lose your LSD and have a single spinner again. For a luxo barge street car this isn't an issue and a low service LSD is a gantastic piece of engineering.

For a firmly sprung street and/or track car, this is a major issue as it's very likely in hard cornering (particularly over a bumpy road) that a wheel will unload a fraction. The torsen gives a very inconsistent feel under these circumstances.

A good clutch pack LSD is rock solid reliable in it's power delivery and makes for a much more confidence inspiring ride when punting hard at speed.

Whatever you are happy with i guess.
 
I am planning to pick up a KAAZ 2-way soon. I have heard these clutch type LSD's will "click" as you take corners. Can anyone explain/elaboratre on this? Im taking my 1 wheel wonder to the track on the 17th of next month. Me and 8 friends are renting out a track for the whole day so I will get a better feel for my setup's weaknesses. I plan to record a couple lap times so I can do a before/after with the KAAZ installed.
 
Click? dunno. Depending how tight they are they will cause the inside wheel to skip about a bit during slow tight corners, like parking.

A 2 way is pretty aggressive for street? Dorifto types like it as it stays locked during lift off as well. A 1.5 way would be my recommendation as they loosen up when you lift off the throttle and create alot less understeer.
 
Yeah 1.5 way for the circuit (or street).

I will get a ATS / Carbonetics carbon lsd for mine, the other good one is the OS Giken.

With your case machined to use the Supra diff there is now so many different options.
 
Could you feel the difference between the stock 3.94 and the more tame 3.60ish? final drive?
I had everything done together from tuning, new tranny, LSD, bigger tires; therefore, I'm not sure exactly what causes the RPM going a little higher.

Maybe my power isn't that much as Justen, but the Supra MK IV TT LSD works great for me. It really grips.

I don't recommend using 2 way LSD. My friend has a TRD 2 way LSD (I believe it's 2 way) and it's not very friendly and it makes noise.

If load was put on engine it would spool much earlier..
I would guess it's a low load dyno ???
A hi stall converter can have same results or multiply the reading...
 
...this is the same turbo as before (T88-34D, 477 rwhp@ 4500rpm) but with new manifold....
Also the automatic was changed for the Boostlogic with HIGH stall converter, but i dont know how much that would effect the rwhp/torque output numbers...
The loss of torque below 4500 rpm is significant. Full benefit of the new manifold and much higher rwhp levels might come from changing the cams....
