Hi all, my names Alan, just thought I'd introduce myself.
I found this site while researching the 1UZ conversion I am about to do on my mates HX Holden Ute. The site has been very useful and is impressively laid out. It has also been an eye opener to see how popular the 1UZ is for conversions in just about any vehicle it'll fit in.

I work for a Subaru specialist and do a lot of Subaru turbo engine conversions but I have a few Toyota engine conversions on the go as well. The HX is one, my brothers 1JZ MX83 is another and my own Project car is a fairly neat Holden VK Berlina that I have a 2JZ and R154 in. The VK is getting some custom made manifolds to mount twin Subaru turbos at the moment but is proving to be a long term project.

I have just had the UCF11 Celsior cut delivered to my work and ran it up today, it idles fine but refuses to rev over ~2800rpm. I haven't had a really thorough look over the engine yet but there is no drive belt on it because someone has taken the AC compressor and I was wondering whether the lack of alternator might effect the running of the engine in this way.

Apologies for the questions first post but I would like to get it sorted before I strip the cut. Any help is appreciated.
