Hello All! :newbie: Here!

This one should be easy for the experts.. I have a UZS131 Crown motor and its wiring up to a Haltech E6X. my last hudle is to wire up the "Engine check light".

The ECU plugs have been cut to allow for the Haltech wiring loom. but only the plugs in the cabin have been cut, the original plugs in the engine bay are still there, even the one's not being used.. Anyone have any ideas where to find the wiring for check light??

Kind Regards, George

why do u need check engine light wire

going by yr short description the engine is in another car and not in a crown

does the haltech have a chech light
last oen i did i dont think it had one

wiring for the check light goes from the 3rd plug on the ecu to the crown dash

Thanks for the reply..

Well i dont need the CEL light, however i wouldnt mind having it working for peace of mind.. to let me know of something's wrong before it gets worse..
And yes the motor is in a 85' 4Runner. (Build up thread on the way)
As for the haltech having a check light, i dont think it does..

So because im using the haltech ecu, there's no way in using a CEL light??
seen as though the ecu plugs have been cut?
Thanks.

The CEL is driven by the ECU to show faults.. If the ECU does not have a CEL output or fault code detection, then there is no way to have a functioning CEL, thus like SIDESHOW side and I agree in the Haltech not having a CEL output, then no, you cant have a functioning CEL.
