Dual Throttle Plate 1UZ TB

Whats the deal with them and what is the difference between them and the single plate version? Also, what cars/models/year are the single and dual plates supposed to appear on? Is one better than the other? Thanks

That was my guess. Very interesting. But If I was doing a motor swap I wouldn't want that extra plate.

Just remove the screws that hold the plate and slide the plate out. The threads on the 2 little screws are peined over so you will need to file or grind the little bit of exposed thread.

I removed the stepper motor completly and threaded both bearing holes, one for an air temp sensor the other is just pluged.

Also, can any of you confirm that all 93-94 LS400s came with Traction control standard? I'm looking for one that doesn't and I can't seem to ever find one. Can anybody help?

Pretty sure its standard... can never remember seeing a 1UZ without it.

Does anybody keep the traction control? I would have thought most would as a safety feature yet I haven't seen anyone keep it.

I found some of them on cardomain.com without it so thanks anyways. Its just hard to find a good 93-94 for sale cheap...

Must have been optional on sc's, beacuse my 97 doesn't have traction control.
