Transaxle conversion

The 1UZFE EGR Delete Kit is available for sale here.
The clutch is in the tranaxel. the drive shaft spins all the time at motor RPM
they pop around 400hp. and they shift like crap.. I have been looking at the vett setup for my Milano if I boost my 3L

Another option for those interested might be the transaxle from Alfa-Romeos.
Milanos (type75), Alfetta GT's and Alfetta Coupes use a transaxle with inboard brakes. The clutch assembly is located at the engine (front engine) in the bellhousing. These boxes, like the Porsche 928 box is long and fairly slender, but does not use a torque tube to connect the engine and gearbox (uses the chassis). These boxes may not be easy to find, but they are pretty strong.

Just another option to muddy the water.

All the C5 Corvettes are torque tube/rear tranny vehicles and should be relatively cheap and ratios easy and cheap.

Bloody hell I didn't know that! Well you learn something new everyday.

I'd be interested in an image if anyone has one of a C5 engine, torque tube and transmission layout. How interesting as I thought it was predominantly the forte of front engined Porsches and 80's Alfa's. (Expensive exotica aside!)

Digging up a dinosaur I know, but just wondering, anyone done any work on this idea? Would be sweet to see a uz with a transaxle.
Cheers.
