Hey all,
Here's a thought, I'm looking into supercharging my 1uz, thing is costs will be cut to an absolute minimum, (just because I like doing car-stuff that way) the goal is 460hp at the crankshaft, that should give me +/-400rwhp on a G50 box.
I havent seen an M90 yet to break the 400hp, let alone 460 and that seems to do with volume, it just can't provide enough air to do that.
M112 are far to expensive in my opinion
so what about twin eatons? not M45's they won't do anything better than one m90, but parralel twin M62's, I can get those cheapish over here, remote mounted with small IC's running low boost 0.7-1.0bar.
has anybody done that before?
also has anybody got a M90 lying around which they would want to weigh up for me?
I've been in contact with Rotrex european agent, to discover that these units are very expensive, but still a good option. I think it's wrong, spending 4 times as much on the charger than I did on the engine itself.
if it'll be rotrex it'll be a C38-71 on 0.8bar.
there's absolutly no room for twin turbo + exhaust + big IC's on the side's of the engine.
about the el-cheapo thingy: I don't want to spend 50 bucks and get 460hp, but I do not believe that 460hp should get me digging my own goldmine. with today's technology that should be possible for very decent money! and the more money I save on the engine the more there's to get the 13" AP-racing brake kit with the car!
regards Thomas
