can i use the standard ecu with out the auto and not effect the running of the engine, and motor in question is a 93' soarer and it is going into a lnadcruiser and i would like to use the OE ecu for now(keep cost down), but i have read/searched here and some say no go after market(i will later, not that rich yet), some say yes but need to trick the ecu with resistors and speed sensors and some say yes just trick it in to thinking it's in park.
i have the motor on the floor with no auto and it is running, (jumped the NSW) and i still have every thing from the half cut.
so from someone who knows .....What needs to be done for it to run normal? and what problems will i have
