Glad to see it isn't just me. Got an 80 series booked in for November to fit an LS2 and LS1 for '96 Lux in December

LS1 into a Lux should be a fun job, how do you go with rego over there?
Let me know if you need any diagrams for them.

there used to be a fluro green hilux here with ls1
looked nice but if u look deeply many little things wrong
the wide steel rims were cutting into the camber rods pretty bad
ive got a harness at home from a 95 pontiac
it had an lt1 crappy thing and now has an ls3 and im making a harness for it
hopefully it iwl plug into factory plugs once i do my mods
ask him if he wants a dual tune ls1 ecu we make em

Thanks Jim I'll keep that in mind but we wish to make our own. Why coz my apprentice thinks he can. Matt no problem but my preference is UZs and we only do them to turn key driving stage. Engineering and rego is clients problem but that said what I sent out last week back to the owner is as close to what you will get for a V8 factory build Hilux right down to the scanners will talk to it

Perhaps I should add my LS3 (317kw version) mounted in the rear of an old L300 van that is now a pick-up.

Weight for weight, size for size there's no better bang for your buck.

My LS3 and 6L80E (6 speed) owes me $3,500.00!

Still love my 1UZ but I'm actually thinking of selling the supercharged 1UZ off and trying something different.

only one thing beats an ls3
and ls7
hehehe
have u decided what to do about the shifter for the 6l80

Jim,

I'm modded the shifter to work without the BCM,

Perhaps a better name is a widowmaker as I think it will be sort of quick.

Any vehicle weighing in at under 1300kg with 317kw ids going to be fast.

The heaviest part at the moment is the tailgate (right where you need additional weight!) as I need to walk across it to work on the negine so it weighs around 40kg.

Bit of an update

Thought I should put up some pictures of the finished product. A few more can be found on my business facebook page.

Customer requested
Power - It has plenty
and an auto - this was pretty easy.
Lake pipes - He got them.
Air conditioning - We managed to fit that in there too
And of coarse the V8 rumble (Best known way of loosening womens panties since time began)

We fitted a big vertical alloy radiator and reused the stock horizontal radiator. Fitted our Hiace / Hilux big brake kit , custom headers where coated with HPC. Wiring took a while making the LS work with the Toyota but the LS1 itself was easy to wire ( far easier than a 1uz). Lots and lots of time and it is all done and looks good. Far too fast and really turns heads.

Next is a few Mitsubishi's to get ready for Nat's and then back to wiring the pile of 1uz and VVti's (1uz and 3uz)I have waiting.

I should have come work over there kelvin as I haven't touched a jap import loom for ages
That's y I haven't been on some forums for awhile
Most my work up here has been fiddle basic auto stuff
A few immobiliser stuff and even reverse cameras and turbo timers and tachos
Can't complain it's easy stuff as most auto elects round here wot do this type of stuff
I gues they have something stuck up their asssss and just want to do starters and air con
Maybe there's more money that doing 1uzs hahahhahahahaahahh
Did u sort out speedo and tacho
I just finished an r34 skyline with an l98 but went to start it and no flywheel so could not
Figure how to get tacho or speedo to work
Anyway would not have worked as ecu needs to be returned but customer was getting it tuned elsewhere so I'm not telling him the little tricks hahahhahaah
Ls1 are the way to go

Hello Jim - Yes I got the speedo and tacho to work. The signals from the ECU where correct to work with the toyota dash but needed the frequency adjusted to get the calibration correct. The only thing that doesnt work is the gear indicators on the dash. Every thing else works as it should. I used the factory start relay , glow plug relay for the fuel pump relay, factory A/c fan relay, ECD relay powered the injectors and coils, and had to add one relay for the extra radiator fan. Jim I have 1uz looms everywhere that need to be done and plenty more booked in. Plus I have a couple of my own looms to do. Cheers

sounds good
seems u have your hands busy
I think the industry here will lessen
over the next 10 years so I guess
getting into normal auto electrics
and diagnosing is the future over here
so I've been buying scanning and programming
tools
