sc400 car missing runs rich and gas tank pressures up.

My car idle with a miss and runs rich ,the gas tank pressures up . I replace fuel pump and filter. Please help

The problem is in the fuel return system.

Interestingly the tank shouldn't pressurise as you are using fuel to run the engine so it should be coming under lower vacuum.

I'd first disconnect the fuel return line at the engine and apply compressed air to it to ensure it isn't blocked between the regulator and tank.

If that is clear I would look at a faulty fuel pressure regulator.

If the FPR is faulty the engine would see too higher pressure and run rich.

It sounds to me as though the tank venting system (charcoal canister) has been removed or is not working.

So before pressurising that return line, be sure the tank is vented and the gas cap is off...

Ok I check the the return line blew it. Back to the tank no obstructions .I also disconnect the return line from the fpr started the car no fuel from fpr side. So you're on the money .

new problem

Ok the car would not start . And if it started it would die in a few sec. Checked the fuel pump which is new , the pump come on when you start but it shut off in a few sec:. Need help.:.
