R Roga New Member Jul 3, 2009 #1 Hi, Can anyone tell me if the 1UZFE bends the valves if the cambelt breaks or skips a tooth ?? Just want to know as mine gets plenty of mud and I am trying to design some sort of washer system to clean out around the crank pulley area after use. Thanks Roger

Zuffen Super Moderator Staff member Jul 3, 2009 #2 The 1UZ-Fe is a non-interference engine. This means the valves will clear the pistons regardless of where the valves are in relationship to the pistons. This means you cam timing could be 90% out and you wouldn't bend a valve.
