G'day guys. My gen2 1uz does not have a resonator box in the intake and the AFM is right up close to the throttle body. There would be lucky to be 1litre of capacity between the AFM and the throttle body.
In an effort to recreate the effects of having a resonator box does anyone see an issue with moving the AFM over to the other side of the engine bay and effectively using a longer pipe between the AFM and throttle body as an air reservoir? Increasing the capacity from 1litre to something like 7litres (more like stock volume of intake pipe and resonator box.
Is this likely to be something that would reduce power rather than increase?
Looking for a little discussion before I break out the tig and 4" s/s tube.
