not sure if this is the place to ask this question, but here goes.
I would like to increase the rpm limit of my toyota 3ur.
Is this posible in any way?
stock is 5800 and I would like it to stop at 6800.
I know other internal mods may also be needed.
thanks.

You may be the first UR member.

At this stage the engine is just too new to have much in the aftermarket.

Perhaps an interceptor of some description would work but you would need to ask a lot of questions to get the answer you want.

I dont know of any interceptor that will increase the rev limit. Its something hard coded into the ecu that cannot be 'fooled'.

A modded ecu will do it, but I have NFI whats available.

What are you planning on doing? why do you want the rpm higher? I would venture to guess that there is no more power up any higher then the stock red line, unless you modified the engine extencivly and if that where the case you would prolly be looking at standalones anyhow so it would never be an issue.

An Apexi RSM should do what you need. When wired it removes rev cut and speed cut. I do agree with Jake on the power delivery but it still should do the job. We often wire them and have never had any problems with them. Cheers

I am in to sled pulling/truck pulls and my truck is geared wrong for this.
To slow in 1st and to fast in 2nd, so raising the limit would help 1st gear alot. As far as power their not an issue cause it hits the limit at like 100ft mark and stays their the whole way.
can anyone else vouce for this Apexi RSM?

no gears available yet that would make that big a difference.
to go from 15mph(4.30 gears) in 1st to 19 you would need like 3.73.
