I've been browsing around on this forum for quite some time now but just decided to post up and give everyone a little bit of background on myself.

First, I'm a fairly new owner of a 1993 SC400. From what I can tell it's completely stock except the suspension, exhaust, LS400 front brakes, and HID's. The exhaust has had all of the resonators removed. The suspension is on KYB struts and it had Espilir springs on it when I got it. Here's a few pictures of how it looked when I got it:

I have since removed the hideous rain gaurds and raised the car back up using Eiback springs (the least amount of drop). However, I don't like the way the car looks up front with the Eibach's - it sits too high IMO.

With the Espilir's the car would eat the tread on the front right tire on hard bumps. The area where the fender meets the hood (actually where the fender meets the inner body for the engine bay) would dig into the tread on the right hand side so I had to raise the car back up. I don't have any pictures of how it sits right now but I'm looking to get something inbetween the Espilir's and the Eibach's for up front only. I know, I know, mixing springs is a no-no, but I'm going to because I'm going to be putting 3 of my company's new Mag v4's in the trunk along with 4 amplifiers so there's going to be about 90 lbs worth of amps and subs in the back (and these are light subs at only 20 lbs each).

Anyway, I'm looking for springs that are inbetween the Eibach Sport (I believe the "Pro" springs are lower set) springs and the Espilir's I had on there. I think that will give me the look that I'm after.

I have a build log going on over at Club Lexus and Lexus Owners Club but Club Lexus was/is making be a vendor and spend a lot of american dollars per month just to post there just because I own a stereo company. Needless to say I don't think I'll be posting over there very much in the next few months. So that leads me to the next thing:

I own Stereo Integrity and I design and manufacture lightweight subwoofers that utilize a linear motor technology called XBL^2. Utilizing this type of motor allows our subwoofers to be shallower than most designs and also give our products a leading edge when it comes to Xmax-to-mounting depth ratio. For instance, our new Mag v4 subwoofers are only 5.5" deep. Our BM v2's that we're working on are only 3.5" deep. Oh, and both models are 12" diameter.

So - long story short I really like the way this forum is conducted. Everyone seems really nice and willing to put forth their knowledge and/or advice, which you don't find too often on forums now-a-days.

I'll be lurking around probably PM'ing peole on here asking about suspensions and such because I'm not going to mod this SC because I use it as my daily driver and can't afford for it to be off the road too much.

If there was an audio section I'd post up my build on here to show you guys what I'm doing and what all I've ran into so far. Is there a section for it and I completely missed it?

Welcome to Lextreme; I'm sure there are a number of us interested in having better audio in our cars.

For your suspension, I'd recommend you look into a good set of coilovers such as the Tein CS's or the JIC's. With coilovers you can adjust the height where you want or need it. With a simple set of springs, you're always going to be guessing. I'm a Tein fan and have the CS model on both my Supras. They're not a harsh ride at all, and in fact, the dampening can be adjusted where the ride is virtually undetectable from the stock Supra ride. I formerly had Eibach's and stock shocks on one of these cars, and it had a bone jarring, harsh ride.

Additionally, one of our vendors, Luxury Mods, offers the AirForce coilover setup with active ride height control, so that you can raise or lower the car at will. If you're building a "show" car to represent your business, something like this might be an interesting addition.

Luxury Mods also carries the Teins, HKS, and JIC coilovers.

Thanks for the suggestions. I was/am hestiant about going to coil overs due to the cost. The Espilir's I had I only managed to get $175 shipped out of them. :( And they were in great shape.

I guess I'll save up and go the coil over route a little later and just suffer with the tall ride height for now. Again, this is mainly an audio car but I do want it to look good.

PS: I did find the electronic section of the forum. I'll post up my build log overe there some time this week.
