Rite-o guy's Im a newbe when It come to turbo's and have a couple of questions.

I have a 1uz-fe out of a Crown half cut (with the seperate ECT & ECU)

And wanted to know If a Hitachi HT18S-2S Turbo off a RX7 series 2 would suit

Im not sure on the spec's but got this info off the net

6.00 sq. cm (.93 sq. in) for the primary path and 9,48 sq. cm (1.47 sq. in) for the secondary. The other factor is R, the distance between the turbine-shaft center and the center of area A: 59.4 mm (2.34in) for the primary path, 60.4 mm (2.38in) for the secondary. Thus the twin-scroll turbocharger has two A/R ratios: 0.4 for the primary and 1.0 for the primary and secondary combined.”

As for the compressor side, “its 12-blade compressor is 63 mm (2.48 in) in diameter.

Has anyone had any good experence with this Turbo?

the hitachi 18S is too small a turbo in single form - i have one of them on a cammed L18 (datsun engine) - that's a 1.8L, SOHC, 2valve per cylinder 4 pot.

you'd need one per bank to be effective.

yeah Pro said, to small for a single, but would work if 2 were used.

Think of it this way, a 13B rotary has the displacement matched equal to a 2.6L piston motor so a single unit will support a 2.6L to an extent but not with the greatest efficiency.
