Fitting Torque Converter

I know from previous experiences of fitting Land Rover auto boxes that making sure the T.C is fully into the gearbox is vital or you break the pump!!! When you fit the T.C into a rover box its possible to measure off the face of the bell housing to the tapped holes on the T.C so you can see if the T.C is fully home or not. Is it possible to find this measurement out for the LS 400 gearbox? If not any other way of making sure the T.C is fully home?

A simple way is 3 "clicks" on the third if you squash your fingers it's bang on. Don't forget to put a little grease or anti-seize on the spigot (pointy outy bit on the flywheel side)
