I've searched around to find varying information on the appropriate FIPG material to use on a first series 1UZ (92 LS400). I want to use Toyota brand stuff or Permatex. Which Toyota brand FIPG do I use (103? 102?) for the parts contacting oil, and which Toyota brand FIPG do I use for parts that touch coolant (all I know is it's red)? What equivalent products does Permatex offer (ie. gray vs. black for parts touching oil)? I know that the Toyota brand FIPG is just rebranded and priced higher, so has anyone figured out who the actual manufacturer is? I've heard at least three or four claims.

Maybe I'm just getting really bad at searching forums for some reason. Sorry if I missed the obvious.

I believe the factory supplier is Threebond. A few years back another mechanic I know purchased a sump gasket. It come out of a Toyota box with a tube of threebond inside. I now purchase threebond from another supplier and use it for all places on the engine. I also use a Wurth Grey with no issues. Ensure suitable curing times and ensure all surfaces are clean. I would be happy using any high spec sealant suitable for oil and water.
