Engine Mount Brackets

Hey Blokes,


I was wondering if someone could post a picture of some 2UZ engine mount brackets. By that I mean the bit that bolts to the block. I am curious if they would bolt onto a 1UZ block and be suitable for my project.

The mount brackets that have come off my motor (crown) are different in size on each side. Being that I will be putting the motor into a vehicle with a ladder chassis and will have ample room I would prefer them to be the same. I am sure it would be easy enough to fabricate something that would do the job but an OEM piece makes the job look that much neater and the engineer that much happier

They are different. The 2uzfe brackets are a lot wider and its made of cast iron instead of aluminum.

Both the Crown brackets are different if you want brackets that are the same then you could use Soarer Brackets like in the Pic Lex posted up (The Alloy one) they are the same on both sides, I'm going this way as well because i keep breaking Crown mounts


Who is engineering it, if you've got that far yet?

I made one set for myself few months ago. Its a heavy duty type. Its made of 3/8 mild steel.

After tig weld and painted:

The mount custom mount above was meant for a 2uzfe fitting into a Lexus from 1990-1997 in both SC and LS. I am not use if this will work on later models until verify. These mounts are exact fit to the Lexus chasis. I made a jig for those mounts.

Who is engineering it, if you've got that far yet?

I have Spoken to a few engineers in Sydney to get an idea on the sorts of thing they will look at in general but I have as yet to choose who I will go through. There is one in Taree that I may use, a mate is about to use him for a SR20 into a Escort so if that works out well he will most likely have my business. I'll let you know when I decide.
