Bmw E30 Brake Booster What are people using

Just wondering what are the 1uz powered e30 guys using for a brake boosters.
Clearance is an issue?
Any thoughts

Engine should be in my E30 M3 by the end of the month

Also maybe tilton pedal box maybe the go. Does any one know if they can be ADR complianced for Australian registration

I modified my cam cover to clear the booster (note: different car).

Much easier than doing something with the booster.

I've done this for a couple of cars now.

hey

just nearing the end of building my 1uz e30.
as for that brake booster? there is no way modifying the cam cover will make enough room for the standard booster, there is just no room!
On my car i mounted the brake master on the inside of the car, behind the firewall in the glovebox. i also have the ecu in there too, it means you loose the glovebox but thats just something you have to live with. from the master cylinder the line goes to a remote booster which i put behind the left front lights. Im using a VH44 remote booster but anyone will do. because the e30's are a tandem brake line setup, if you want both front and back brakes power assisted you need two boosters. Im only using one and just have the front boosted and has heaps of stoping power.

i saw a very rought job of a 1uz into a bmw
had to wire it up
the booster was relocated to passenger side front just behind the headlight
std the booster is on pass side anyway
they then made a rod extension to reach the booster
looked very rough

Ive used a MK2 Golf booster and Nissan Terrano MC (Upgrade in size from e30) it works really well. Fits in there very snug and looks factory, we have moved it along the fire wall a little as well and extended the rod.

Thanks guys have not done much work on my e30 m3 building sheds and installing 2 post car hoist should be getting back into it soon,
