1UZFE in 4Runner now wont start

ok short story time:

Replaced alternator, started and ran great. Starter sounded like it too would soon have issues so decided to replace that as well. Replaced it and got a few very week idle sessions out of it and now I get nothing. just the motor cranking but no ignition. I have spark at the plug, plugs seemed to be fuel soaked when I pulled them. No CEL, and if diagnostic jumped the OD light just flashes rapidly. I have check and rechecked all electrical connections x3. and tried a different ECU from same year/make car that runs.

Any ideas?

check earth connections, especially the one on the back of the engine (typically black+white wires). To replace starter, you should have disconnected all of them, but you could as well damage some
