Ok guys i need alot of help and info in this area.
Ive fitted a 1uzfe and 350z box into a widebody starion, it will have a single hx40 turbo, custom inlet, 440cc 7mgte injectors, COP and all ancilaries except alternator removed.

I want to fit the latest version of megasquirt, but tbh im confused about what i need
Engineering i can do, but electrics and management ive never had any dealing with so im pretty clueless.
What will i need to physically fit it to my car ? ( getting a local guy to map for me)
a list and some explanations would be very much appreciated :)

yes i can read and follow a wiring diagram, but all the different options are confusing me, with MS3 do i need to add a 36-1 tooth wheel as i read somewhere it can read standard sensors of most engines, can it run 8 COP's etc
its more the actual management im needing help with rather than wiring it in

The management and Jim (sideshow) is the man to chat to but as far as I know he wants to retire. Do some research on the Link ECUs

I wish I can retire
Just spent a lot of money buying diagnostic scanners
Ill prob get flamed for saying this but ms3 ecus need
A lot more work involved
I also don't understand y buy an ecu that needs a 36 tooth
Wheel
Buy an ecu which u don't hav to pull motor apart each time it
Blows up to change the wheel
People who buy 1 dollar build yr own ecus havnt done much work
With the latest link ecus Im guess not that I'm sponsored by link
But ask afew local tuners about which is good and which is bad
If u want to learn and tune herself got ms3 and read everything
On their forums and u might get it all running in a year hehehe
Or just pay yr local guy to fit tune and drive away
First save about 3 grand

Your tuner is the best person to talk to
Rule of thumb
Cheap ecu normally means u have to spend heaps more
On tuning over a 5 to 10 year period
Good ecu which your tuner knows how to tune means
Price of tuning over 5 to 10 years is low
So best spend a lot up front and a little down the track
Link extreme or vipec equivalent has 8 ign and 8 inj outputs
And very easy to set up
I'm doing one now for a mail order loom so it plugs into a jzx80 supra
Takes awhile but I need to make it perfect so everything works
Then I do a base tune to set the parameters of the sensors then all done

It's my first job in brissy
