Hey guys, do you think its possible to interface a Knock Link to the original knock sensors on the 1uz

Thats a question for "Link", not us.

They would have either written the program to suit a brand of Knock Sensor (ie Denso, or ACDelco), or they can customise it to suit your application.

yes,the knock link can only handle one sensor at a time or have a switch to switch between sensors to have a look at each one , i am also running the the linkplus computer to run engine management working well so far just need it tuned.

I dont mean to sound stupid, but can somone tell me where the knock sensors are located, i am still trying to feel my way around the 1uzvvti i have. are they under the intake manifold, both sides? Also where is the air temp sensor located?. I am fitting a micro tech ecu at the .moment

cheers
Paul

I have a first generation 1uz and they are located in between the middle 2 cylinders in the "V"...i dont think they would have moved them...but i may be wrong!!! as for air temp sensor...not sure

Air temp sensor is in the AFM (at least it is in the non-vvti)
If you are running a microtech, go buy a Delco airtemp sensor.
All JE Camira's, and any commie VN on use them.
Then get the microtech programmed to suit the air temp sensor.
