wiring engine check light

I have a 96 celsior motor in my hilux, I have bridged ports TE1 and E1 on the diagnostic plug on the motor so I can pull codes, however this diagnostic box has no W pin to put a check light on.

So I assume I need to find the W pin on the ECU and put one side of a 12v globe on it and the other side of the globe to a 12v+ feed.

I have searched the forum to find which pin is the W on the ecu, and looked at numerous ecu pin out diagrams but none match my ecu. I have tried going over most of the pins with a meter with no luck.

Can anyone help?

looks like u have a late model 1uz
like maybe 95 or 96

with the late model ones there is a variety of different wiring

i usually just power up the ecu and bridge out the te1 and e1

and just prob every wire thats left over and see which one flashes

its time consuming

otherwise i just get custoemrs to send me the looom and i sort it out

diagrams for later 1uzs can be hard to find and my home made ones can be slightly different so unless i see the loom i cant tell

but try the probe all the left over wires trick see how u go
