check engine light wiring how to

Hey guys i put a 1uz into a toyota pickup offroad race truck and have it all up and running but need to diagnose an issue but cant seem to figure how to wire a cel.

Am this far. I connected te1 and e1 in the engine diagnostic plug but can not find which wire coming out of the ecu to trip the engine light on and off. Using a small green led next to my switches as the engine light so there is no gauge cluster or dash all wired in race gauges.

I have the 40/40/40 out of a 93 sc400 ecu

Warning light

Figured you might have done it by now but here it is
W on the ecu is for the Warning light, the other side goes to ign+ I have read some where not to use an LED, figured it was because its a diode so wont put resistance back to the ecu
