Will any remote (including 95+) work with my 93?

i was also wondering if i could buy any remote for my car ... the car was fitted with a key remote which i sadly lost... I would love to replace it with the newer remote...

Possible?

I dont think so. Unless the dealer can program it, but i strongly dont think its possible. 90-94 uses the same key. The later model uses different key with more functions like trunk release. A brand new key from the dealer is about $275 USD. I was in the same situation before.

Instead of getting a new key. I got a Clifford 2.5 remote. It locks and unlock, remote start and remote stop you engine. Another vision i like about it is remote trunk. The oem key only have lock/unlock. The price is about the same. I have double check the clifford model.

Hey lextreme, was the clifford relatively easy to install? Did they offer support or was it difficult to install on your lex?

If so then no you cannot get another to work. You can however purchase a 2 key kit with a little chip. The little chip goes in the keyless/alarm ecu.
