Skid, did you get your answer??????
Cheers BlownV8, I think so.

My project (with the GP pistons at 8.5:1) is still undecided as to FI route and in all honesty I would love to afford a full twin turbo set up, though experience, money, engine bay size etc etc will probably rule that out.

So SC is higher on the list and I'm still favouring the Procharger D1SC as should be the easiest install as I can use the original inlet and plenum, even if it will need a bit of tidying and flowing. I need to fully understand the dynamics though.

Noise isn't a problem, and loss of low down torque compared to a Kenne Bell again isn't a problem as it's going in a sub 1000kg (2200lb) track day car with only occasional road use.

Am I misguided? What do you think?

You all make good points, I used to love the idea of a kenny bell supercharger. Great low end power and better efficiency than other types of superchargers. But I think for me it loses out in a couple of areas. One the low end power may break my gearbox, or just overpower the tires, I have 285 or could put 295 P zeros. 2 the engine needs to produces an extra 100 hp to get to the same figure as a turbo. Why the supercharger will comsume a 100 hp to drive it. To my knowledge the turbo wont.

So there is extra load and fuel comsuption just related to the supercharger its self. I watched a show on topgear about the new GT40. It got 4 mpg under power. Just my 2 cents.

Cheers Greg
