v8 engine,hilux manual box?

anybody done this

i want to put a lexus v8 1UZFE into a 1993 toyota hilux 2wd and want to keep the hilux manual gearbox

pro's and cons please

who dunnit and how

There are heaps of different ways to do the swap, that just details the way I decided.

its bout 1500 aussie for conversion to fit manual to 1uz
this includes all parts but not gbox

std hilux box is strong but u will break it if u abuse it

u can go for bigger box but its more expensive

but decide what box u want cause the custom made bellhousing for the manual sometimes will only suit one box and if u upgrade box u might not be able to get bel;lhousing redrilled

i think some can and some cannot be redrilled

anyway its not cheap
