Surf wiring diagram

Hi all, I am about to replace the gauge cluster with a 4cyl unit so I can run the tach off the ignitor.

Does anyone have a wiring diagram to show which is the signal wire for the tach in the dash?

I have searched around with no luck so far.

I think I am okay now however I have just posted a wiring question about the air con compressor I have just got in the swaps section.

It looks like it has a sensor of some sort in the side, I have applied power to the clutch and it won't engage, I guess the other harness needs a signal of some sort.

AC compressor is control by the engine ECU. Its a black and white dot wire from the ECU to the Climate control.

Thanks, I am running a Link ECU now, do you know if this can be rigged to run?

Mine has two wires coming from this outlet which goes to a 4 pin plug with only 3 pins in it, another wire comes off the 3rd pin and goes to another plug.

You can bypass the ecu system by a positive signal to the ac commpressor.

Cheers - do you know which pin/plug out of the two on the left I would use - the single pin plug?

Yes... single wire....

My earth was earthing correctly, after fixing that and applying 12 volts to the single pin at the front by the clutch it engages fine.

The other plug is not needed in any way to engage the clutch.
