Hey all,

plenty of info in here for FI 1UZs, what about stock?

What plugs would you suggest? Especially for startup and dyno? Redline will be 6750. Whats the standard plug gap? I was shooting for .040", sound ok?

Cheers,
Riv.

0.44'' is stock gap and I believe heat range 6. People dog Platinum plugs but the truth is for N/A their great. I ran quad electrode Bosch platinums and noticed a slight bump over the stock single electrode. Iridium's IMO are a waste of money for N/A unless radical compressions.

I am curious how well the new Pulstar pulse plugs perform on a 1uz.... but at $20 per plug they better be able to wash my car afterwords lol.

It doesn't really matter what plugs you use, as long as they are changed at their required intervals.

1.1mm is the stock gap.

Stock plugs are Denso Platinums.
Most people in Aust use either NGK Plats or Irids, depending on how long they want to go between changing them.
