resister instead of 02 sensor

Hi

I am plan on fitting a LS400 into a boat and have heard that by fitting a resister instead of 02 sensor ECU can be tricked and will run well. Does not run so well when cooled.
has anyone tryed this? Do you know what size resistor is used?

Sounds a bit sus to me the O2 sensor puts out a voltage not a resistance.

Do a search for o2 simulator, and you'll find some that are intended to replace the #2 sensor in the newer OBDII cars. You would be in closed loop mode, basically, but probably not an issue since you may require a fuel mod to correct for the open/short exhaust anyways.
