R154 speed sensor part number

Help,

My speed sensor in my R154 gearbox has given up. I have just been down to the local Toybota "Experts" and they can't help me unless I have a part number.

There is a number on the black plastic part 105 12S23 but they said it means nothing.

Not 100% sure what the R154 came out of but it has a remote shifter.

Can anyone let me know what the part number is.

just go to yr local jap importer and find similar one
i got about 10 to 15 speed sensors at work of various cars so they are not too hard to find
id expect to pay about 300 to 500 for a new one

Picked one up this morning from wreckers, has a diffrent number on the plastic but it works fine now.

Is it common for these things to give up?

its a manul gbox
that unit is for a 4wd transfer

in 8 years of conversions ive only replaced 2

so they dont nornmally fail

Looks like have got a spare now the contacts were dirty on the plug.

Took the drive shaft out and run it up in gear, it works fine all the way upto 300kmh+ on the speedo.
