OK, how big a mistake was this???

The 1UZFE EGR Delete Kit is available for sale here.
i have for sale here my sc400 vortech supercharger kit for the 1uzfe engine 92-97 sc400, gs400, ls400.
* Wrong: Each car is different and it will not work on every model. For example, my LS400 supercharger system will not work on SC400. Just like Neil Griffiths supercharged system will not work on US Version Soarer without modifications.

i ran it without the lower compression headgasket and it was great but now im turboing my sc300 since i did a 6 speed getrag tranny swap on it, one that i planned on doing to the sc400 but was much easier on the 300 so my loss is your gain this kit will support exactly 704 hp.

* The head unit support 704 hp doesnt mean u can make that much on 1uzfe. 1UZFE have 5" crank pulley and you will never see that amount of hp. You will be luck if u see 350 bhp..

i ran only about 522hp (still pretty good for a daily driver).

*522hp mean mid 400 rwhp. That would take at least 14-15 psi. Stock 1UZFE will not make that much boost with 5" crank pulley..

in this kit you will recieve everything pictured. 1 mirror polished vortech v2-sq supercharger that will support up to 18psi. 1 sce copper racing lower compression 8:5:1 headgasket brand new in box.

*You can kiss your boost goodbye when u lower your compression..

8-440cc injectors cleaned and balanced. 1 supra jza80 twin turbo fuel pump by master (walbro) 255lph (new in box). and one apexi turbo timer (new in box)
**Why would u need a turbo timer for a supercharged system?..

i am still using the bracket for a smaller supercharger so im not selling it yet but in a few weeks the intercooler and piping will also be for sale as it is 3 inch piping and the smaller charger i have now needs 2 inch piping. well everything you ever wanted is all here in one complete kit, the supercharger alone sells for 2500-3000 or more since its polished, headgasket is well over 200, injectors are well over 500 and the fuel pump with turbo timer round off at about 250. so this is a great deal. if you are considering taking the v8 and making it a manual transmission instead of a boring automoatic i am selling the clutch pedal, clutch slave cylinder and clutch master cylinder fits in the sc400, 300 adnd supra jza80. well this is it if you have any questions please email me and be free to ask ill post them as well. thanks alot and good luck bidding and be sure to check out my other auctions

*Supercharged system is no good without the bracket. How are you going to make the bracket. What is his bracket specs? What you are buying are used parts. Its just like have chocolate doesnt mean you have chocolate chips.

I read that ads few times already. From my experience, it not a good deal. Did mention if the supercharger is clockwise or counterclockwise? CCW and CW is day and night..

gaskets - $260 from this website
fuel pump - About $200
Injectors - about $400 i think
Charger - $1000 for 2nd hand.
Thats $1860, for minimum prices.
May not be a complete kit, but when you add up components, not a bad deal. Be a bit creative, and you will have the system installed for not a lot more. This is the expensive part.

As for power output/boost. If you have a custom bracket made, space the charger about 2 inches forward than usual stock location, use an addon 8 inch pulley in harmonic balancer, and a 2 inch pulley on the charger itself, well the sky is the limit. You dont always have to install the same as everbody else, and the same way the "KIT FORM" does it. Be different, thats what this site is all about.

Good luck mate, keep us posted.

This is kind of what i was hoping to hear.... It seemed like the parts are not that bad, just maybe he got in over his head. I tried like hell to get in touch with my guy at the shop in Brooklyn before i bid on it..... He builds Supras etc. etc... i don't think anyone has tried to work on the 1uzfe at all around here..... I was planning on doing a 2jz-gte swap but after reading all of the stuff on here, i am thinking the 1uz isn't a bad start... though, i would like to do a 6 speed.... What i will do is bring the stuff to my boy.. and say... well, i have these parts....... Can we make them work? :) I did see a bracket somewhere for around $500 i think for this app....... If my friend can't make one, i guess that's the next alternative. Could you offer any advice about your idea with the bigger pully and 2" forward? This seems to have more potential no?

At first, i don't expect any miracles...... but 400-500 would be nice :)

I wonder what the V2-SQ is capable of with the 1uz...... I am trying to learn every day and i thank you guys for the info and help...

I would contact Chrisman in our forum. He have done a twin turbo already and made great hp. He is in the east coast.

YZFR1, here is a pic that shows what i am sort of talking about. Althoug it is a dirty old buick V6, you get the idea. As you can see, the supercharger bracket has been spaced away from the usual bolting position, an aditional pulley has been attached to the harmonic balancer, and he is running a much smaller pulley on the super charger. Also with this, you can then use a gilmer belt for you SC, which will eliminate all slip potential at high RPM.

If you go to www.capa.com.au i know they are an australian site, but have lots of dirrerent ideas and kit types for all cars to choose from, plus heaps of photos to get the juices running.

Lextreme, you'll be happy to know that i got out of that deal from eBay.... I contacted the bidder i beat out...... a pretty cool guy..... He wanted it badly........ so i let him have it :)

I also spoke to Chrissman......................... he got me thinking hard about the TT idea.......... So that's the kick i am on now......... Well, it was a combination of things.... My boy giving me his HKS 3037 turbos that were used like a month in his Supra for a good price also played a part........ My mechanic friend was worried about the manifold.... that was about it...... And there you have it... My dream...... lol........ I'll pick up the Turbos this week...... and then probably have to wait a year to get them on...... ugh....

BlownV8...... Sorry to break your heart man....... but i just couldn't pass up the TT HKS 3037 deal :)

HKS3037 would be perfect.....
After reading about how alot of the Nissan SR20 guys were using them on a 2.0L..... i'm like......... hmmmmm........ how about a pair of 2.0L 90 degrees apart :D

Now.... any help with the manifolds?

and thanks :)

No broken heart here, i am not a big fan of centrifugal superchargers. If your gunna use a blower, it has to be twin screw, and mounted on top.
I just wanted to let you know that i didn't think that you had made a mistake.

Good luck with the TT project.

lex,
why wouldnt you need a turbo timer for a centrifugal supercharger application? isnt the point that the turbo cools down slower with oil running through it, and with turbos and these superchargers being similar, wouldnt a turbotimer be beneficial for supercharger longevity?
also, would you call it a 'supertimer'. lol.

the only heat this type of supercharger makes is in compressing the air, not like a turbo where the exhaust heat is the main heat source, hence the greater need for an intercooler and turbo timer, I do like the centrifical supers for top end performance, they will not give you a huge amount of low doen torque like a twin screw, but they (Procharger claim) can double the hp of an engine.
when you have a light vehicle you do not need massive low end. I have a Range Rover 4wd which does need the low end torque so the twin screw would be better, however by changing the intake manifold i have increased my torque at 2200 rpm by 32% ... just like a twin screw would do .....

From my experience which may not be much compared to some guys here, if your going to be serious about your mods and want to get the most out of them, do your self a favor and get a programmable ECU, i run a Haltech and dam it is fine. wit will run everythign and anything. I even have the thermo fans come on at different temps. Motech are promoted more but i dont see any advantage over the Haltech.
and the after sales service is excellent.
you done even need a turbo timer with the haltech ... it will do it all for you,
If you want nos to come on you set when u want it and at what rpm, load, etc .. then for how long ... everything ... dam fine
you can have a trim control to enrichen or lean the fuel or timing adjustment while driving.... good on ling trips when you wanna save a little fuel ...
and thats a good thing on the Rangee
cheers
