my heater is going out sc400

bad timing too cause its cold

but heres some symptoms:

the engine does not cool off, so i dont think the therm is stuck

if i hit the knob so it turns to auto while the engine is warm, the lcd turns on but the fans dont blow
like if it were just turned on, and the engine hadn't warmed up yet


if i turn it off auto, the fans turn on but blow out cold air

Inspect the heater valve inside the engine bay on the firewall to see if it is engaging when you turn the temperature control from cold to hot

ill check that out on my next day off

but another thing it does is when the rpm's are high ie: while driving it blows hot air...most times

but while idling just cold air

think the water pump is going out?
