Heater matrix hoses - which is which?

I'd like to use my heater in my transplant, but need to know which is which when it comes to the two coolant pipes which run to the matrix. The flow control is all inside the cabin of my car, so I just need to plumb the engine in and do away with the valves etc on the lexus engine.

Which pipe is "out" and which is "in"?

Hi,

The pipe that is a single pipe dissappearing under the plenum is the return, the pipe that goes straight down into a merge with the bridged part is the outlet.

I have a drawing of the oocling system that shows it, if you pm me with an email address I can send it to you.

Having said that, in a lot of cars the direction of flow round the heater rad is not critical.

by the way the oocling system is a lot like the cooling system.....
