LS460 Engine

Does anyone know the engine code for the LS460. For example in my 95 LS400 it is 1UZ-FE. Also does anyone know where I could find just the engine for sale? Someone has to have totaled this car, therefore making the engine available.

the serie is UR

FE for normal heads, FSE for Direct injection heads.

i'm not sure for the number about the 4.6 liter.

Well then I guess my next question is... What are the differences between the 1URFE, 2URFE, and 3URFE?

4.6, 5.0 and 5.7 litre (Lexus cars, IS500, Toyota tundra, LX570)

UR is the bloc series, the number stands for its version.

I didn't know they made an IS500. I thought the new IS was an IS350 AWD. Well if there is an IS500 does it share the same engine as the LS460?

Well I looked and there is a IS500, but it's not for sale yet. So does the LS460 have the 1URFE?

yes. a great engine from what i have read about it, if a bit on the portly side.
