Looking for info for LS460

Currently own a '98 LS400... thinking of getting an LS460.... I noticed on an import site that some year models were listed as 'manual' & appeared to have paddle shifters... photo's were not clear to see for sure.... Does anyone know if or any years had paddle shifters ?.... Is this what they meant 'manual' ?
Does anyone know anything about buying from Japan using import sites ?
Are any year model 460's better than others ? .......

If you're running a Toyota auto, you can manualise it and run paddle shift. I do with my 1UZFE, A341E auto. Only 4 gears tho, and 4th is overdrive. Its very easy to set up if you're running an after market ECU. Haltech (which is what I'm using) has a library that supports the A340 series transmissions that allows auto operation and manual shifting. Possibly the hardest part is interfacing paddles to your steering wheel and some rewiring. Picture is of my older wheel, b4 some updates... digital dash and enhancements to the steering wheel.

Any idea if you can 'manualize' an A650E 5 speed '98 LS400 ? .... or could you point me in the right direction of info to do just that ?..... OMG I would love to manualize it
