looking for info om 1uz water pipes.where they go?

1995 ls400...(see me in swap)

have engine fitted in car (range rover) but not sure on water pipe placement (no donar car with this engine and is different to 91 car i have)

so need to hook up pipes..what external pipes are there leaving engine to rad, expansion tank etc..

i have found only 5! ie 2 large ones going to rad.(obvious)
and a longish 1/2inch (or so) bore from rear of engine..does this go to expansion tank or what??what is also connected to expansion tank etc...

found the heater pipes (obvious again) its just really need to know info on stock expansion tank (header tank) as i dont have it or any info on this age engine..(ie is it connected to rad and this mystry long pipe?)

Zen,

The expansion tank runs off the thermostat housing on some models or you can run it off the radiator like your RR did.

The water inlet to the engine is the black plastic fitting where the thermostat lives.

Outlet is (obviously) the alloy pipe right beside it.

The heater hoses are the 5/8" outlets at the rear.

The 1/2" outlet is most likely the throttle body heater return. I had mine capped (before I got rid of the standard induction system) but also have the other end blocked as well.

yep it goes to throttle body..didnt see the pipe stub hidden there..thanks..
