Got an email from a guest from Australia:

Hi There,
Now we are not hi-tech people and we race in salt water, and that is why we chose to remove ALL of the Toyota electronics from our two boats that use UZ engines. Attached are some pics..and our website that you might find interesting http://achr.topcities.com/photo/wasp/wasp_1.htm

Our engines are very standard inside, we convereted the standard manifold to accept a 700cfm Holley DP carby, did away with all the computer spark system and fitted a 5.7L Chevy HEI dizzy to the front of one of the cams, fitted new valve springs and dressed the valves.

The engines start and run OK, pull from 2200rpm all the way to 6200rpm, and have dead stock standard cams in them.

We are looking for improved performance, hope you can assist, and have a few questions:
Do you have specs on the 3UZ-FE which is 4.3 litres?
Do you know if there are revised cams for these engines, if so how much and from who?
Who does the best con rods for them?
Great website, lots of good reading

Some interesting stuff there.

Notice the cam covers on the oposite sides of the engine. Never realised you could swap them.

The sump and oil filter say Crown but the plug lead plastics suggest SC or LS.

The tunnell ram is two manifolds joined together. Looks like they've machined the "head end" of the top manifold and used the centre of the manifold only and built a large plenum on top.

These guys should have two looms, ECU's all sensors etc spare.

How do we contact them. It would be a shame to see those parts wasted.

Gosford is mid-way between myself and IMAMDMANRU and mighty close to Mycarpossedme.
