:werd: Ok this is my idea if i go to a carb setup on i my 1uzfe and i keep the dizzy's can i get them to work without any ecu ? :happysad:

what is a "dizzy"? distributor? you probably can, since i have heard of people using carbs on UZs, and it would be pointless to change the ignition system.

try a search on carb swaps, you might come up with something.

You would need an ECU of some description as the dizzy's (distributors for those the other side of the Pacific) don't have any advance mechanism.

You could use the cam position sensors to run an electronic ignition system but you would be stuck with no advance.

There are a few ignition only ECU's out there but they aren't much cheaper than a normal EFI ECU.

And EFI will always give more power and greater economy than a carburettor.

I once heard someone describe a carby as a "semi-controlled fuel leak"

Just bring two 4 cylinder distributor for old Toyota or Nissan (to utilize the switch) . and find some way to connect them (try to connect it to the cam shaft) .

And use Chevy carb because its cheap ​
