Lately, I have been toying with the possibility of FI in my LS400. I do have a JDM engine (retrodrives) with approx 55K on it. How "ready" is this engine for forced induction? Would I need to do any internal work?
Another thing. I am thinking of going Turbo because I hear that any un-wanted tension on the Front-Pulley system can literally blow my engine. Is this true?

6-8psi would give you a substantial increase over stock, Im not exactly sure on figures, But I think Lex posted a couple of Dyno graphs up running these levels(or similar) of boost
