help needed

well i took my car for a drive today, first time in a while.

was fine for first 15min then when i dropped down a gear to go around a car it started making some noises. when it was idleing it would not be steady it was almosty stalling. then when u acclerate it would go off slowly sounding like it was only funning on a few cylinders. but then when u get some revs up it felt alright. then when changed to second it started sounding like it was struggling.

when i put it in neutral it idled fine. but when got home put it in drive and it started spittin and spatter like not gettin enought air then just stalled.

any ideas of the problem.

just need some ideas for when i take it to vemon to hopefully get this car fix for once

The air flow meter plug is connected yeah?

yer its connected. i just went and started it then and it wont idle at all. revs up then dies straight away

i dont no if this could be a reason or not, but my battery has been playin but and always needs charging up.

If the ECU isn't getting constant power then it will forget how to idle. I found that out after a long chase.Though it shouldn't do the other symptoms. Sounds like the AFM might be playing up, the ECU has no idea how much air it's getting. Did he wire it up? If so he should fix it, at least diagnose it.

I suggest you give your car a tune up check at the fuel pump for pressure, seems like it wasn't working. Second thing is to check the air filter to ensure it that stuff is clean. Adjust the idle speed by turning the idle setscrew.

Good stuff mate, all good or still some issues? Might be worth disconnecting your battery for 20min or so, then let the ECU relearn it's tricks... If you have the stock ecu that is

yer everything seems good. yer it has been disconnected for abt a month now..lol will let it run again today to make sure everything is still good.
