Finally got around ordering some mild steel pipes for my SC470TT project. I will be using 1 1/2" mild steel as primary and 2" steel as secondary and tetary would be 2.5" with V Bands. I would like to use V band on both exhaust inlet and downpipe. This way i can do maintanence much easier. Two V bands on each of the bank. The whole turbo system comes out with just 4 V Bands. I will post pics later....

1 1/2" mild steel is a very good material for the turbo manifold where the heat stays the most and expands the most. 321 stainless is also very good, but not economically at all. I used either plumbing mild steel or 304 stainless with no problem. With 304, a good brace is necessary. In the SC engine bay, I think 304 is better since it's skinnier and gives more room. Is the car lowered? How will the downpipes run throught the mufflers?
