Garrett GT4292

I have a Garrett GT4292 I was thinking about using as a rear mount turbo on my 92 SC
Anyone know anything about this turbo and if it would be worth a damn on a 4.0L V8 with remote setup

1000 h.p turbo is a little large ....

Remote/rear mount turbos must use smaller turbine housings or even turbines and housings since the gasses cool. Even in a front mount very close to the exhaust ports your relatively large turbo will have relatively slow boost response. Mounted as is in a rear/remote installation the boost response would slow significantly further.

Yep T3 turbine around .7 / 1.06 A.R...
Twin .58's would be fine...

That turbo is big and it'll have lag. For around 500 hp, a GT35 is better, or a T60-1, T62-1.
