Well this weekend I started stripping the motor of all its wiring so I could strip and redo the wiring. Unfortunetly a bunch of the plastic connector tabs broke when depressed. Now the ones that don't connect to an actual sensor aren't a big deal I'll just change out both sides of the connector with something different. But some were right at the sensor or injector. Does anyone have a replacement source for these connectors?

I have the same problem... i have been thinking getting a brand new wiring harness from the dealer. After 14 years, its time for a new harness.

I have never tried to get any so I don't know how hard it would be.
I have a few sources to try so hopefully that will turn up something.
Out of interest what connectors exactly are you after?

Try posting a wanted to buy on this Forum.

Plenty of people have gone aftermarket and others have cut/ruined looms that yoy may get the plugs off.

I picked up most of the plugs for $10.00 plus shipping from the States off a knackered loom. I also have a cut loom off one of my engines but may use parts of it when it comes to wiring the new engine.

Eventually when I get my new engine built I'll have the injector plugs spare as I'm going to use Ford injectors and they use different plugs.

A new loom from Mr Toyota would be damned expensive.

Electical connectors for the injectors
and igniters are not available separate from the engine wiring harness--they
are both contained in the main harness under the hood which sells for
$1133.76, and I would also have to order the harness.

From the local Lexus dealer.

At that price you should order a spare just in case another clip breaks!

I think I'd be looking at salvage yards to buy a loom.

You can also cable tie clips together if they are out of sight.

I have one of my broken clips tied together and it hasn't given any trouble.

I had already planned on doing that were it was just two clip going togther. But what do you do when it is right on the sensor/injector/ignitor?

Connectors

Toyota has a manual called "Wire Harness Repair" publication number RM767E.

The spare parts people dont usually have this manual, The manual is only for Toyota service departments (if they have it). It has just about every connector listed as a picture and has a pert number so you can order the connector as a repair kit

Another simple fix is to buy some heatshrink of the appropriate size.

Slide sufficient onto the loom end to allow you to clip the plugs together.

Plug it together slide the heatshrink over the join.

Use a heat gun, or similar, on the heatshrink and it'll hold the clips together.

To separate the clips simply cut the heatshrink.

Mike, that's not true what the Lexus dealer told you about the plastic housings for the injector connectors. I have that Toyota book referenced by SprinterTRD and I ordered several plastic housings (including a new set of injector clips to fit my Blitz 850's) directly from a Toyota dealer (Curt Aigner with Elmhurst in Chicago - HIGHLY recommended). They're definitely available and cheap. You have to do a bit of digging to find what you need, but it's there.
