Very interesting (to some of us anyway) documentary from F1archives.com showing the development of the Ford Cosworth F1 turbo engine.
1.5 liter turbo engines (91.5 cid) from the turbo era making over 1000hp
The displacement equivilant of 3 cylinders from our 4.0 liter 1uzfe
The equivilant of a 4.0 liter 1uzfe making 2700+hp with 1985 technology.
The 1.5 liter engines reached a reported 1500hp for BMW which would be 1000hp / liter or 4000hp for a 4.0 engine.
