Bullet Cams

The 1UZFE EGR Delete Kit is available for sale here.
Billet or just newly cast!!

They are newly cast blanks which are then ground to your specification it is just a term used to describe new cams as billet though there are steel billet cams made but the kelfords are cast from original cams with blanks lobes.
I have fitted a set of kelford cams the only mods i had to make was to grind out the drive gear on 2 of the cams and relive the cyl head a bit so the cam would turn wich was only 2 lobes. which needed clearancing. They have been running now for about 4 months and i have checked all the clearances had to change 2 shims just to close up the clearance a bit. It is the best sounding N/a 1uz i have ever herd live side pipe and 8 t/bodyswhat more can you do it is automotive art (only my opinion) have a look>

I picked up my car from being dynoed the other day with the Bullet heads and 265 degree cams and the difference is awesome. It pulls hard all the way through to 7500 (probably 8000 but I was shifting at 7500) and has over 180rwkw from 5500 to 7200. I'm sure there's more to be unleashed from these cams as I think the stock intake runners and probably the extractors/exhaust are now the bottlenecks.

It still pulls well down low so there's minimal tradeoff as I can still cruise around in suburbia in 5th gear.

Red is before which was a bit odd as it didn't feel like the power dropped off that sharply after 5000rpm but there's no doubting the effect of the new cams!

PS. I know the AFR looks a bit rich but we'll bring it back to 12.5:1 soon.

At 6500 it's a 40kw (53hp) gain :)

On the circuit it'll mainly be in the 5000 - 7000rpm region so will be a lot of fun!

Have to take me for a quick spin at the dyno day Damien....cams i have always thought were the key to unlocking these engines but seems like intake has some potential as well....still think cams are where the biggest gains are hiding (i mean intake hasn't stopped me getting 400rwkw eh :) )

Ozvenom, according to your picture it has been just over 5 months since that picture was taken and yet you haven't done the compulsary thing of videoing your car and recording the noise! It's in the rules damnit! :tongue2:

Interesting thread. I just bought a Bullet SS engine and they fitted stock cams. When I enquired as to where my special "Bullet" cams were they said there never was any special cams installed in their Bullet engines. They were all stock cams. But perhaps they just said that to save money on my engine and get me out of their face.
